On Friday March 10th I went up 38 floors to the Bokan dining room at the top of the Novotel in Canary Wharf

The menu was varied and very good
The bread was ok – nothing to write home about
Grey Oyster & Chanterelle Muchrooms with Hens Egg & Toast
Pea & Mint Fritters were very good, and so pretty!
The best looking starter for sure – squid!
Burrata was creamy and delicious, but so so cold!
I forgot to mention the mean plate on the podcast, but look at how huge it was!

The Pork Belly was lovely and crispy
The Fillet Steak came out well and looked really juicy & tender
The Lamb Cutlets won main course – cooked perfectly and the smoked aubergine was incredible
The pie was good, but venison isn’t my favourite flavour. Great mash though!
My 3rd ever lobster, and it really delivered! Beautifully cooked and the sauce was great. Fantastic fries, too.

The dessert I wish I’d had! So soft & tasty…
Very light and fresh – a nice finish to a pretty big dinner!
